How to play infinite warfare zombies split screen
- Start the Game:
- Launch Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on your console.
- Connect Controllers:
- Ensure you have two controllers synced with your console. Both should be powered on.
- Navigate to Zombies Mode:
- From the main menu, select “Zombies”.
- Select a Map:
- Choose any map you wish to play in Zombies mode, like “Zombies in Spaceland”.
- Activate Split Screen:
- Once you’ve selected the map and are in the lobby, press the start button (X on PlayStation or A on Xbox) on the second controller to join the game as a split-screen player.
- Player 2 Sign In:
- The second player should sign in with their own account or as a guest. If playing as a guest, they’ll need to create a temporary profile.
- Begin Game:
- Choose to start a public, private, or custom game. Split screen is supported in both public and private matches.
- Adjust Settings:
- If available, you can adjust the split-screen settings from the game’s options menu to change the screen layout or other preferences.
- Player Limit: Console versions support up to two players in split-screen for Zombies mode, either online or locally.
- Progression: Note that progression in local split-screen does not carry over to online play and vice versa.
- Graphics and Performance: Playing in split-screen might slightly reduce graphical quality or performance due to the console’s resources being split between two screens.
- No Split Screen: Unfortunately, the PC version of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare does not support split-screen for Zombies mode. You can only play Zombies online or solo on PC.
- Offline Play: You can play Zombies in split-screen mode offline by selecting “Local” in the Zombies menu before starting the game.
- Character Selection: Both players can choose from the available characters in the Zombies mode, but only after the second player has joined the game.
Zombies mode strategies
- Start Slow:
- In the early rounds, take your time to kill zombies individually to conserve ammo and points. Use melee attacks when possible to save ammunition.
- Point Farming:
- Shoot zombies in the legs to slow them down, then finish them off with melee attacks to gain more points per kill.
- Wall Weapons and Mystery Box:
- Buy weapons from the wall as soon as you can afford them since they’re usually more effective than your starting pistol. Use the Mystery Box for potentially powerful weapons, but be selective about when you spend points on it.
- Perks:
- Prioritize perks like Juggernog for extra health, Speed Cola for faster reloads, and Double Tap for increased fire rate. However, don’t rush into buying all perks at once; assess the map and your strategy first.
- Training Areas:
- Find open areas where you can train zombies by running in circles or figure-eights. This helps manage large groups of zombies, making it easier to kill them all at once with area-of-effect weapons or special abilities.
- Pack-a-Punch:
- Upgrade your weapons at the Pack-a-Punch machine when available. This significantly increases damage output, often adding special effects or ammo types.
- Team Coordination:
- Communicate with your team about roles (like one focusing on opening doors, another on managing zombies, etc.), and share perks and weapons. Revive teammates quickly.
- Trap Utilization:
- Use map-specific traps like electric barriers or acid traps to thin out zombie hordes or to give yourself breathing room during tough rounds.
- High-Round Strategies:
- For very high rounds, you might need to use strategies like camping in a fortified position with access to multiple traps and perks, using strong weapons with infinite ammo (like the Ray Gun), or employing special abilities from Gobblegum in Black Ops 3.
- Easter Eggs:
- Completing map-specific Easter eggs can provide powerful rewards that make survival easier. However, they require coordination and sometimes complex puzzle-solving.
- Ammo Management:
- Always keep an eye on your ammo. Switch to your secondary weapon, use melee when possible, and only use your primary for tougher zombies or when you’re in a safe position to reload.
- Special Zombies:
- Be prepared for special zombies like Hellhounds, Panzer Soldats, or Mimics. They require different tactics, often needing more focused fire or specific weapons to take down efficiently.
- Map Knowledge:
- Learn the map layout, including where all the wall buys, perks, Mystery Box locations, and strategic spots for training or camping are. This knowledge is crucial for both offensive and defensive strategies.
- Stay Calm: Panic leads to mistakes. Even when overwhelmed, keep moving and think about your next steps.
- Adapt: Be ready to change strategies if one isn’t working. What works in one map or round might not work in another.
- Learn from Each Game: Every round, even if you die, teaches you something about timing, zombie behavior, or map dynamics.
